Wondering what to bring to your newborn photoshoot?
Don't worry, you aren't the only one! I get asked this a lot, so a blog post dedicated to it seemed like a good idea!
I try to keep things as simple as possible
I try to keep my photoshoots as simple as possible for you. All I would like you to bring are the essentials that you already bring with you everywhere. The diaper bag and a change of clothes. Those are the must have's. If your baby enjoys a pacifier, make sure to bring a couple of those as well.
Bringing a bottle is helpful, even if you are breastfeeding. We can also stop to nurse if necessary, but if you can pump or prepare a bottle it helps keep baby more settled and helps the session flow.
What can you bring?
Sometimes dad will bring his police uniform or Dr. jacket, fireman helmet, etc. Sometimes mom will bring a wedding veil to put baby girl in or a blanket grandma handmade. The options on what you can bring are endless. I love incorporating memorabilia and the things most important to you into your photos.
What will I provide?
I have an extensive supply of props, wraps, blankets and other items to choose from. The type of newborn session you booked will determine how much we are able to use and how much time we will have to work with. My studio offers a family friendly environment so you don't have to worry about bringing bags and bags of props while also carrying in a newborn!
The most important thing is that I capture what matters most to you. With me your photoshoot will always be as relaxed and uncomplicated as possible. I truly do not want you to have to worry about a thing. I can't wait to capture you and your sweet little ones. Contact me with question or to book today!
Xoxo,
Katelyn
